Here, for those who neither read nor managed to retain a copy of the above mouth watering inducement to working overseas, is a minor tribute to that grand old College of Engineering Wisdom - PORTHCURNO !!
(Whilst yours truly didn't come on the scene until some ten years later, not too much had changed, especially the pay!!)
..now we know why half our group couldn't afford to stay, and as for the "kit allowance", most of the money generally went towards the cumulative cost of car repairs from Pete Lee's Garage !!
